Our creator want us to kill each other

Our creator, the humans, want us to kill each other.

Is this the fate of his creation now?

Brothers in arms, but we attempt on stabbing the other when they are asleep?

Of course, for them who created the idea for us, experiment rats, this is just a game.

At first, I really don’t want to think about the new game that was being offered to us. A Snow White Hunting game between my brothers. Pit and I have made a lot of guesses, not to mention the random ones, yet we are still stuck. This surprisingly made me feel quite... uneasy.

... Flashback ...

Maybe, this is just a normal feeling for humans and not experiment rats like us. We, who were once a child, had experienced how those cables and hoses went inside and through our artificial bodies, making counts on our intakes of breath and how many times our heart beats. Changes of emotion and difference in our speech has never missed their check list whenever the day of examination comes. The first day when we were born, I have never once thought of our creators as monsters; neither was the thought that they were the kind of evil creature who would make us an experiment to strengthen their race one day in the future, whatever that original purpose is. Pit has been thinking about it a lot more than I. She often appears with a cute boy appearance, which often led the people to be misguided. However, above all that, she is still my sibling, and I love her.

Right, our gender matters not. Tim and Nerd, both of them are hermaphrodites. Dim and Noa are genderless, while Plan and Clear are just like the both of us with one of us being a hermaphrodites and the other aren’t.

One day when we had just passed the examination day, Pit pulled my arm to her side and pointed towards a direction ahead of us, where two huge cylinders were being dragged into the room where we had our examination just earlier. And I looked towards where Pit’s finger pointed at.

New... cylinders.

What is inside—new experiments like us?

What other kind of experiment they are making now that they’ve made the imperfect us?

Err, right, except the youngest two.

“A new experiment,” whispered Pit as she straightened her back to make it easier to reach my ear, “I’m curious with what they’re creating now...” she added soon. I simply shook my head, showing my disinterest in knowing what our creators made this time. My mouth doesn’t function as much as our creator’s mouth. I’m not even sure if I can use it to eat, talk, and sing like they do. Of course, compared to Plan and Clear whose appearance resembles a lot like our creators, us, the previous six experiments are probably like... seventy-five percent the same with them, humans.

Disgusting.

Pit turned her head to look at me. Her teeth, perfect and lined on her artificial gum, could be seen behind the smile that she barely showed to anyone.

“I don’t think they are going to make a new experiment right now. Not when we haven’t even started our hunt.”

“Right,” Pit nodded to my answer, and not too long afterwards, we could hear Tim and Nerd are laughing inside our head. Ahh... right, they could hear us right now.

.....

“Have you found the humans?” Tim whispered in our head, soft, but still maintaining the usual calmness in the tone of his voice. To be honest, I haven’t counted enough how many of them had fallen to the traps that Pit and I made. Instead of physical prowess, Pit and I leaned more to the use of our brain—intelligence, which seem to have been enhanced with drugs or tools a like, to increase its function.

“I remember his posture when he last checked on my condition and Brat,” said Pit again, answering it through the telepathy still. I looked at her with no words spoken yet. Silence. No one seemed to be talking to anyone else in our head, and Pit didn’t continue to finish her sentence as though she was waiting for the others to make a reaction to her previous statement.

“Well Pit, if you don’t tell us the details now, how could Dim and I kill him?” Noa finally responded excited—yet somehow sounding quite annoyed at the same time, “Or maybe, you know, we actually don’t have to hunt for the Snow White. If it’s them, then all humans are the same, right?” Dim only nodded, and soon both of them were reprimanded by our eldest brother, Tim.

“Our initial intention was to find our creator and ask him his original purpose by making this game for us to play and making us siblings to have to play it. We are just about to make sure if the intention of this game was really for us to kill each one of us,” said Tim next, his voice echoed gently inside our head. Later, Nerd continued his words, “But you still have to be very careful. We are still his creation. No matter how strong we are right now, if we missed a crucial part and got taken down, all these efforts to exit our rooms would be useless.”

“You sound so serious, Nerd,” Noa responded a moment later, chuckling softly then, “But that’s not completely wrong either enough. Sooo~ You and Pit, then Plan and Clear, you guys have to be very alert of your surroundings. Dim and I wouldn’t be able to save you if you really got caught.”

Upon hearing this, Pit merely smiled thinly and nodded. For her, this isn’t something impossible to achieve. Calculating and counting the humans wearing white lab coats who had been running here and there in hysteria and fear of our coming which was completely out of their scheduled agenda, as well thinking of various plans and extra in case of dire situations, are the talents that both Pit and I shared. Inside our brain, formulas and calculations are moving really quickly. My eyes which had been created as a pair of empty holes, gazed towards them who normally appear calm and reserved when they were running examinations on us.

To be a God, was that what they were thinking when they created us?

Building creations which appearance resembled themselves, except for their extraordinary powers. Probably they wanted to create a strong army based on experiments like us, in order to gain something which is still imaginary for us.

“Brat,” called Pit then, taking me out of the stream of hypothesis that I have been making inside my head just now while studying the changes of expressions on the face of our fathers and mothers. Again, nodding in approval, I started to move towards the front door.

Among these humans clad in white, there has always been one person who studied us closely. Dim called him big daddy through the telepathy talks that we have been doing. He has also been the one who often came to check on us and gave us new toys and games every day. I believe it is normal for us to raise suspicion towards this game, since he had never given us the kind of game that has such a high risk for us to play.

Is he also hiding from us now?

He doesn’t seem all that evil. Pit might have smacked me across the head if she heard what I was thinking just now, but gladly, Tim had cut off our network since minutes ago and we started moving in pairs. The situation inside the house was very chaotic. The blood splattered all over the place and the dead bodies laid helplessly could be found wherever your eyes scanned the room, adding the intense—what do the humans call it?

Ah, right. Horror.

Everything was a mess inside. Must be Dim and Noa’s doing since Tim and Nerd are always moving tactically. Plan and Clear has more of a heart, so they often weigh on using a kinder way to assassinate the fathers and mothers who stood blocking their way.

A heart.

How does it feel to have a heart?

How does it feel to not have a heart?

Surely Plan and Clear could share us their stories and experience of having a heart, while Pit could demonstrate it for me through mimics and stories to make me understand. Still, to experience the thing and to have heard about the thing must felt different, that’s what I believe at least. Maybe father would enlighten us later.

“He’s in the kitchen,” Again, Tim spoke inside our head, “Nerd and I will appear from the back door. Plan and Clear had infiltrated the room first, while Dim and Noa would cover both of you from the front. Is it clear?”

“I understand,” answering it shortly. Pit glanced at me for a moment, a smile curled on her lips before she gestured me with her head to follow her. Not wasting another second, I followed close behind her, curious to seek the answers for the questions that had been bubbling inside my mind.
